CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent
We coordinate with public health nurses and social workers to connect members with the appropriate professional services when needed.
Saint-Joseph-de-Kamouraska is more than a place on the map — it is a network of families, farms, and friendships that make caring for one another feel natural.
Our programs are open to all residents of Saint-Joseph-de-Kamouraska and the surrounding parishes of the MRC de Kamouraska. We work especially with seniors living independently, adults living with chronic illness, caregivers who need respite, and anyone experiencing a health challenge who could benefit from friendly, local support.
We also welcome younger community members — as volunteers, as participants in intergenerational activities, and as families who want to be part of the fabric of care that has held our village together for generations.
Community health is a team effort. We collaborate with the public health services, the municipality, the parish, local schools, and other community organizations across the Kamouraska region to make sure our neighbours have every possible resource within reach.
We coordinate with public health nurses and social workers to connect members with the appropriate professional services when needed.
Our municipality generously supports community life by hosting our activities at the community hall and helping share our schedule with residents.
From the Fabrique to the Cercle de Fermières and local Age d'Or clubs, we work hand in hand with the organizations that give our village its warmth.

"Being a caregiver for my mother was overwhelming. Groupe Santé Entraide gave me a few hours of respite each week, and honest advice when I needed it most. That is priceless." — A family caregiver
"Our village has always looked after its own. This organization is that spirit made real, week after week." — A longtime resident
