Get Involved

Our work is powered entirely by volunteers. If you have a little time, a listening ear, or a skill to share — there is a place for you here.

Why Volunteer

Give what you can. Receive more than you expect.

Volunteers tell us that the hours they give with Groupe Santé Entraide come back to them many times over — in friendships, in a renewed sense of purpose, and in the quiet satisfaction of knowing that a neighbour's week was easier because of them.

Whether you can offer two hours a month or two mornings a week, we will find a role that fits your comfort, your schedule, and your gifts. No prior experience is required — we welcome new volunteers with training, mentorship, and a warm cup of coffee.

Ways to Help

Volunteer Opportunities

All the roles below are non-monetary contributions of time and skill. We do not ask our volunteers or the public for money — only for the willingness to be a good neighbour.

Friendly Visitor

Spend an hour a week visiting an isolated senior. Chat, share a coffee, help with a small task — the simplest and most meaningful role we offer.

Volunteer Driver

Use your own vehicle to help neighbours reach medical appointments in the region. Mileage is coordinated by our team; scheduling is flexible.

Activity Helper

Lend a hand at wellness gatherings, walking groups, or nutrition workshops — welcoming participants, setting up chairs, or brewing the coffee.

Meal Support

Prepare or deliver a warm meal for a neighbour recovering from surgery, bereavement, or illness. Cook from home or join our community meal team.

Communications Helper

Help us write newsletters, keep our schedule updated, translate materials, or share news on community bulletin boards.

Board or Committee Member

Bring your professional or lived experience to the governance of our organization. New voices — and especially younger voices — are always welcome.

Ready to Start

Reach out and say hello

The best first step is a short, informal conversation. Call, email, or drop by the community hall — we will listen, answer your questions, and help you find a role that feels right.
